Pop Jazz

Genre: Jazz
FOR a taste of something lighter and more relaxing, check out this two-disc compilation that features jazzed up renditions of a load of pop standards.
Pop fans may find it a bit odd and jazz purists would probably look down their noses at the collection but it is an easy-listening romp that is perfect background music for a leisurely day at home.
With two discs to choose from, there’s plenty of variety with songs ranging from the 1960s all the way to the 1980s. Some of the more interesting efforts include Malene’s version of We’ve Only Just Begun, Tessa Souter’s reinterpretation of Eleanor Rigby, and a spirited, soulful look at Send in the Clowns by Svante Thuresson and Katrine Madsen.
It may not be the best jazz compile out there but it is still a great listen, especially when you consider the value-for-money offer. Pick it up and give it a go.
